More about our purpose

FAQs

What is a purpose-led design and communications agency?

It’s an agency with a difference. We are in this because we care deeply about creating a better world and believe that through impactful design and communications, we can help mission-driven organisations  achieve this. We do everything you would expect from a design agency – digital, branding, content creation and management, employer branding etc. but exclusively for organisations that are led by their positive social and environmental impact.

What type of organisations do you work with?

We work exclusively with purpose-led organisations, those committed to making the world a better place. In particular we work with clients whose mission is aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals.

What are your areas of expertise?

Impactful digital design and content is at the heart of what we do. We love enhancing a brand’s story and visual identity so its mission reaches the right audiences – be that through a report, a new website or a suite of marketing communications. We strongly believe that good design can change minds, but great design can change the world.

How do you ensure your work is inclusive, accessible and sustainable?

We embed sustainability, inclusivity and accessibility principles from the very start of our process, to ensure our work delivers on our commitments to people and planet.

We’ve written a Guide to Inclusive Communications, which includes some of the practical considerations and steps we take, while we are working on a similar guide for Sustainable Communications.

We work to industry level standards for accessibility, while using powerful tools to measure and reduce carbon footprint of our websites and digital applications.

How do you deal with working across time zones?

Due to our global presence, we often work with clients from different time zones and find it can be a very efficient way of working. Managed correctly, we can work when the client in question is out of office, meaning they wake up to brilliant work in their inbox from OXygen! We are also happy to schedule calls either at the very beginning or very end of our (GMT) working day, to accommodate time differences.

Are you hiring?

We are always on the lookout for ambitious, driven and passionate talent to add to our pool of associates we work with. In particular, we are keen to establish relationships with freelancers in the countries where we have offices through the Oxford HR group, Oxford UK, Amsterdam, Nairobi, Singapore and Washington.

Do you do pro bono work?

We strive to offer one piece of pro bono work a year. And if not pro bono, we always ensure our rates are fair and reflective of the budget constraints of the organisation. We firmly believe in purpose before profit as a narrative for our work.
